“Contribute to transform the life of the Most Vulnerable Community of Dudu District”
Sponsor a needy family from the most vulnerable community
The DE notified Tribes/Most vulnerable communities in India represent a unique cultural heritage and diversity. Despite various government initiatives, the DNT communities remain some of the most underprivileged and underserved populations in India. The De-Notified Tribes in India continue to struggle with the legacy of colonial policies that branded them as criminals. Addressing the deep-rooted socio-economic issues, they face rampant discrimination and abuse which requires comprehensive and inclusive policies to address their issues of livelihood, health, and education. Empowering the DNT communities requires a concerted effort from the government, civil society, and communities to break the cycle of marginalization and build a more equitable society. We can work towards integrating DNT communities into the social, economic, and cultural mainstream, ensuring they have equal opportunities to thrive and contribute to the nation’s development. The DE notified tribe (DNTs) in Rajasthan like Bagariya, Bavriya, Mogia, Kanjar, Saansi, Kalbeliya, Nat etc. who lives in the forest away from the village settlement and the mainstream communities and reside in the pasture and other common lands/empty lands of the villages. They have been arranging their daily livelihood by doing hazardous work like burning wood and producing coal under the open sky to sell for their earning. Due to this work, it is common for them to have health-related problems. Socio-Economic Challenges
1. Education: DNTs literacy rate is significantly lower than the national average, with limited access to quality education.
2. Employment: Due to historical marginalization and lack of skills, DNT communities have limited employment opportunities, often confined to menial and informal sector jobs.
3. Healthcare: Access to healthcare services is minimal, leading to high infant mortality rates, malnutrition, and prevalence of communicable diseases.
4. Housing and Basic Amenities: They live in the outskirts of the villages without any basic facilities. Many DNT families live in inadequate housing conditions without access to clean water, sanitation, and electricity.
